Filled & Led

Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luke 4:1 MEV

The two most critical things a Christian must be willing to do after becoming born-again is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be led by Him.

You can trust His leading. He will never lead you into a coflict you cannot win.

The shepherd boy David was led into battle with Goliath to show David and Israel what one man could do in the strength of the Lord. He led him into victory.

God could have destroyed Goliath and the whole Philistine army with the breath of His nostrils. He didn’t need David but David needed Him.

God will lead you into conflict to demonstrate your victory in Christ. Be ever filled with His Spirit and then let Him lead you.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit.  Jude 1:20 MEV

Praying in the Holy Spirit is critical for every believer. It is God’s way of empowering His own with supernatural ability and strength.

He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 1 Corinthians 14:4 MEV
Smith Wigglesworth said, “Oh, this baptism of the Holy Spirit is an inward presence of the personality of God, which lifts, prays, takes hold, lives in, with a tranquility of peace and power that rests and says, ‘It is all right.’ God answers prayer because the Holy Spirit prays and your advocate is Jesus, and the Father the Judge of all. There He is. Is it possible for any prayer to be missed on those lines?”
Beloved, don’t let another day go by without praying in tongues. It’s the language of the Spirit.

But He answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:4 MEV

Jesus is the Bread of Life and Scripture declares that He is the Word of God.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me shall never hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35 MEV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.  John 1:1‭-‬4 MEV

Hide the Word of God in your heart. It will never fail to nourish and strengthen you.

Righteous Rule

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;  Isaiah 32:17‭-‬18 KJV

Peace, quietness, security, assurance, and tranquility all are the result of imputed righteousness acted upon.

As the old song says, “Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness”. Righteousness is imputed to those who receive Jesus as absolute Lord and Savior.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: Romans 4:11 KJV

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2 KJV

The result of sinful rulers and a sinful society is decay and destruction. The benefits of righteous governance and a people submitted to God is the blessing of God on a nation that causes its promotion and prosperity.

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34 KJV

It’s time to take our nation back.

For if you forgive men for their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men for their sins, neither will your Father forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14‭-‬15 MEV

Two of the strongest scriptures in the Bible, I believe, are those of Matthew 6:25-26. In them is the unalterable mandate of God to walk the love walk. They totally destroy any and every excuse to harbor unforgiveness for anything.

How can God be so stern? It is because He sent His Son, Jesus, to give His life for His enemies.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10 AV

Jesus gave His life for all even though some would reject His sacrificial act of love. He took our sin upon Himself so that we would not have to perish because of them. He is willing to forgive all who will come to Him through His Son, Jesus the Christ.

Romans 5:14-21 AV  14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:14-21 AV

To ignore such a gift is to spit in the face of God who is the only Righteous Judge.

Forgive or Perish.

The choice is yours.

One Nation Under God

“Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing its fruits. Matthew 21:43 MEV

Is it really possible that God would destroy a whole nation because of its unwillingness to walk in His ways?

The answer, I’m afraid, is a resounding, “Yes, He is!”

God, unlike man, changes not. He is altogether Righteous, Just and Holy. He is Love but that doesn’t alter His being Just. He must judge sin. The thing is, because of His being Love, He sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for sin.

This is why it is so important to Him that people accept His gift and walk in His ways. He has given a lavish free Gift, the Gift of His Son. To reject the Gift is to reject the Giver and every good thing that He offers.

The Bible is a history book as well as a manual for living. It is filled with the historical record of God judging nations for their disobedience. He even destroyed the whole world once. I’m so glad He swore to never do that again by flood. But judgement day is coming.

He is long suffering and would that no one be lost. That’s why He gave of Himself in the Person of His Son the ultimate and only acceptable sacrifice for the sin of man.

We have the greatest nation in the world. It is worth rescuing and restoring to a right relationship with God. We are meant to be a God fearing people, “One Nation Under God,” ruled by “We The People” who are righteous in the righteousness of Christ.

His desire is that we be a people set apart unto Him. The alternative is destruction. We must win our people to Christ or lose our nation altogether. His call has not changed. Time is short:

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9 AV

Examine yourselves, seeing whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not know that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5 MEV

Examinations and tests are given to determine if the student has a thorough understanding of the lessons taught.

We need to review and test ourselves, honestly evaluate ouselves, to know if we are putting the teachings of the Bible, God’s Word, into action.

Knowledge without application is useless.

But a man may say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God; you do well. The demons also believe and tremble. But do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? James 2:18‭-‬20 MEV

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.  James 2:26 MEV
Just do it or you might just be disqualified.
