The Devil is Real

The Devil & Demons are Real

There is not space enough to list all of the verses of scripture that refer to the devil who deceived Eve in the garden of Eden and caused the fall of Adam and his seed after him. Any study of the Bible will convince any reader of the reality of Satan and his angelic army.

Jesus said that He saw Satan kicked out of, and banned from, heaven.

Luke 10:18 (KJV) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The book of Revelation speaks of the devil as a dragon, or serpent, that led a third of the angels in rebellion and caused them to be banished from the heaven of God with him.

Revelation 12:3, 4 (KJV) And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: . . .

The battle that brought about the devil and his demons (fallen angels) is also recorded in the book of Revelation:

Revelation 12:7, 9 (KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, . . . And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Tomorrow, many will court the devil and his demons through the celebration of Halloween. Others will stand in the light of the truth that the devil and his demons were defeated at Golgotha’s tree as Jesus gave up his life for fallen man.

Jesus has delivered us from the bondage of fear, so there is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Should a Christian participate in Halloween, Harvest Festivals, or Trunk n Treat events, is a question asked every year. We have the liberty in Christ to celebrate life every day, but let’s not give the devil any play in our costumes or conduct.

1 Corinthians 6:12  All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

1 Corinthians 10:23  All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
