Considered?

Have You Considered?

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Have you considered your position in God? God, who always was, who is, and who will always be, the Only Eternal, chose you to be a part of a generation like none other in history. He is entirely self-sufficient, needing nothing and no one, yet He chose to include you in a company of people peculiar in creation. Not just a human being created in the image and likeness of Him, bound by the fall, corrupted by sin, but He chose to include you in a group, a remnant, taken out of the masses of humanity to show forth His praises.

Did you have a choice? Of course. He was not interested in people who had no choice to love Him, serve Him, and show forth His glory. He did not even create angels to without will. Nothing serves Him against their will.

But He called. He called to whosoever will. He called you and the call echoed down through time until you heard it and responded. He knew you would and rejoices over you with singing and the dance. His joy is that you have found righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. You can add nothing to Him, but he can add much to you. You can give nothing to Him that He needs, but He can give you everything that you need.

He gave you the faith to be saved by sending His Word to you. He called to you who were lost and He found you willing. His call emanated out of the light of His Being and when it touched your soul you were translated out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Now, as Jesus was the light of the world, now you are the light in the dark, dank, squalor and despair of sin, sickness and disease. You, the called one, the peculiar one, the royal one, the holder of the priesthood, the holy one, are the light bearer and the life bearer of Him who is Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent, the great I AM, the Holy One of Israel, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords.

Have you considered your position in God? Perhaps this helps.
