It Is Yours!

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. Joshua 1:3 (KJV)

How is your believer? Have you enough confidence in the Word of God, who cannot lie, to believe that wherever you set your foot becomes your rightful inheritance?

Too often, with the passing of time, we can be tempted to lose sight of this powerful promise. “Every place,” simply put means, every place. Our Hebrew word, maqowm or maqom, includes such things as the place where you stand, the room you are in, the house you are in, whatever place you find yourself, and the region or land where you are. It also includes the post or office that you hold.

The words translated, sole, kaph, of your foot, regel, picture, the power to grasp and possess the place where you set foot. As a believer, you are empowered to possess all that God has given you. Given, nathan, can be translated, bestowed upon, granted to, ascribed to, committed to, entrusted to, and given over to.

When the Lord decides to bless you, and tells you He is giving you something, you are blessed with the ownership of it! So, receive it! Surely, we have learned by now that we possess what God says we have before we see it? So much is left outside of our grasp because we have forgotten the basics of faith.

Remember Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)?:

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

We believe, and continually say what we have been given. We receive by faith (Heb. 11:1) until we have what is promised.
