I have a great love for full-time ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ and pray that you do too. They are special in my heart because they have responded to the call of God and have exposed themselves to the abuse that comes with their calling.
Hebrews 11:36-38 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
Oh, not all experience martyrdom but all experience the attacks of Satan through the very people they are trying to reach and help. None the less, they are those of whom it is said,
Romans 10:15 (KJV) . . , How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
The honor they deserve is seldom shown them, even among their peers. This is why I go out of my way to encourage and strengthen those who are set in the church as gifts to men.
