John 12:28-30 (AMP) 28 [Rather, I will say,] Father, glorify (honor and extol) Your [own] name! Then there came a voice out of heaven saying, I have already glorified it, and I will glorify it again. 29 The crowd of bystanders heard the sound and said that it had thundered; others said, An angel has spoken to Him! 30 Jesus answered, This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sake.
There are those who have ears to hear and those who don’t. Beloved, you and I must take the time to tune our ears to the Voice that speaks so that we will hear the direction of the Lord.
Revelation 3:22 (AMP) He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).
This takes time and focused attention. Relationships are not built in a day but by continual communication and work. God is speaking. His Word is simply seeking those who will hear with a hearing ear of the spirit.
You may say, But Saul was not seeking to hear the Lord and he heard and understood.
Oh, but yes he was. Though blinded by religious tradition he wanted nothing more than to please the Lord. He was a prime candidate for the Lord to visit him with an blinding flash of revelation into the mystery of the Christ.
In an instant he heard, and recognized the Lord of Glory.
You may be bound in religious tradition yourself. Take heart. God sees your hunger and He will fill you. He is aware of your spiritual thirst and He will satisfy you.
Luke 11:9 (AMP) So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.
