Times & Seasons
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (AMP) TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:
The season is changing. Winter is pressing at the door. The leaves are falling, leaving only bare branches that speak of fruitfulness gone. This is not the end. This is the beginning of preparation for new growth. Beneath the ground the roots extend to support the leap of spring.
So our ministry is in a state of change. Many of our number have traveled to be with family for the Holidays. Church chairs are empty; leaving those who remain to reflect and prepare for their return and the vitality of the church to spring to life once again.
The New Year holds great promise of positive change, growth, productivity and spiritual awakening. We will start the year with a 21 Day fast and break the fast with an all church potluck.
The promised Holy Spirit will sweep in and bring life to the dead and fruitfulness to the barren. His promise is of a year filled with new disciples and an awakening of promises that have lay dormant for a winter season.
Perhaps you are experiencing a time of winter in your life or ministry. Don’t give it another thought. Take this time and seek the Lord. Be refreshed in His Presence. Soak in His Word and see if the Spirit does not speak to you of things forgotten that have yet to be. See if He will not breath fresh revelation into you and give you renewed energy and rekindled faith to face your future.
He has promised and He has not forgotten.
Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
