What Went Wrong?
He replied, Have you never read that He Who made them from the beginning made them male and female, Matthew 19:4 (AMP)
To listen to many in contemporary society, one might wonder, “What went wrong,” with people if God made them of only two gender identities and qualities? To hear some talk today, you would think that God made a big mistake and that individuals, and not God, have the right to choose what gender they want to be, regardless of their physical make up. That would be like me, a “white man,” saying, “I’m a black man,” and then believing that it was so and demanding that everyone else does too.
The answer is really quite simple. When Adam rebelled against God (sinned), in the Garden of Eden, his DNA passed his sin nature to all future generations. He, and his wife, had decided to follow the devils suggestion that they could decide what was right and what was wrong without regard for what their Creator said.
Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, the former destructive, the Latter saving]. Romans 5:14 (AMP)
For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:22 (AMP)
Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life]. 1 Corinthians 15:45 (AMP)
That single act of rebellion condemned all future generations to living without the benefit of the wisdom, or knowledge, of God. They were locked into the sin nature and separated from God.
Their answer was to create their own gods, develop their own worship systems and religions, like secularism, and determine who, or what, they are based upon a whim, a lustful urge, or a demonic suggestion. The result has been chaotic at best.
Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it). Romans 1:25 (AMP)
What is the answer? Simply this: Recognize that sin is working in your life and repent. Ask God for forgiveness, and ask Jesus, God’s only Begotten Son, to take over and deliver from the sin nature that is corrupting, restricting, and controlling your life.
Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (AMP)
