Occupy

Occupy Until I Come

Jesus, in telling a parable admonished His ‘servants’ to ‘Occupy’ until He returned.

A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas [$20], and said to them, ‘Do business [Occupy] till I come. Luke 19:12-13 (KJV)

Our Lord wants us to keep our thoughts, energies, and prayers focused on the ‘job’ of reaching lost humanity.

We’re not to ignore what is going on in the world, but we are, primarily, to be involved in His business.

Consider these words of James, the Lord’s half-brother:

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. James 4:2 (KJV)

Wars and fighting are the result of sin. The unregenerate heart of man without Christ is full of covetousness, greed, and a lust for power.

Go

Jesus said, “[You] Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”  (Mar 16:15)

In whatever condition or circumstance we find the world, our primary duty is to Go and make disciples.

Go…and MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, (Mat 28:19)

The only real answer for the peoples of this world is the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus the Christ.

Never has there been a better time.

Never has there been a greater need.

Never has there been a greater hunger.

Go –

Do business –

In All situations –

In All circumstances.

THESE THINGS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. John 16:33 (KJV)
