A Great Year In Christ!
How often have you said, “I’m Blessed!” in answer to someone inquiring after your well being? What do you mean? Have you considered what you are really saying?
The word blessed means empowered to prosper and, if you are a Christian, you are blessed by God. You are an inheritor of the blessing of Abraham [Gal. 3:7, 14]. In Christ you are empowered to prosper.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
Power is defined as dunamis, force; especially miraculous power, ability, and abundance. Working in us is especially miraculous ability to be blessed (empowered to prosper) in every area of our lives.
This year, more that ever before, God is wanting us to understand His divine capacity to give to His children. His desire is that we will begin to know Him as the Father that desires to give good gifts to His children [Eph. 3:14; Jas. 1:17]:
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 (KJV)
This year our Father wants us to be delivered from the poverty mentality that has plagued the Church for two thousand years. He wants to teach us how to receive out of His Divine capacity the riches in glory by Christ Jesus which will result in an over-flow of abundance.
Arise & Shine!
We are to Arise & Shine for our Light has come. The glory of the Lord has risen upon us in great manifestation! This is the hour of the Church. All will see Her glory and draw near to Her.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Isaiah 60:1-3 (KJV)
Many in the Body of Christ have received the riches of the realms of the Spirit (prosperity of the spirit). Many more have received the benefits of physical, mental and emotional healing (prosperity of the soul). Few have been willing to receive the riches available in the realms of finance (prosperity of the material). Why?
Satan, the great deceiver, has sold the Church on the idea that it is an unholy thing to have enough, let alone more than enough. Like Judas he insists that all we have be given to the poor and condemns us as covetous thieves when in truth it is his own covetous greed that is speaking (John 12:4-6).
Yes we should give to the poor! The tragedy is, we cannot in the measure that God wants. How can the poor give to the poor? The poor can only be cared for properly out of the over-flow blessing of the blessed of God.
Arise & Shine! Let God have His way and prosper you in this great year. It will be Divine!
