A Seed Sown . . .

A Seed Sown . . .

God established the principle of seed time and harvest as a immutable law for as long as the earth exists:

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, . . . shall not cease. Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

He also established the rule of like begetting like:

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11-12 (KJV)

But God giveth . . . to every seed his own body. 1 Corinthians 15:38 (KJV)

God brought forth Adam after His kind:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion . . . So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, . . . Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV)

God brought forth Jesus the Anointed One after His kind:

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)

In Christ Jesus, God brought forth you and I after His own kind:

. . . Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:1-2 (KJV)

Will Prosper . . .

Seed will always prosper in the hand of God’s remnant people:

For the seed shall be prosperous; … and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. Zechariah 8:12 (KJV)

When seed is sown is not as important as that it is sown:

In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. Ecclesiastes 11:6 (KJV)

Where seed is sown is what is important to receive increase:

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Matthew 13:23 (KJV)

Seed is always good.

Given the right ground, it will produce a harvest. Seed is meant to cause increase.

God sowed Adam in the earth in expectation of a great harvest.

In spite of Satan’s best efforts to corrupt the seed and stop it’s ability to bring forth after it’s own kind, God sowed Jesus. The Seed of the woman, into the earth:

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45 (KJV)

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:47 (KJV)

And He, then, brought forth after His own kind!

. . . Beloved, now are we the sons of God, . . . we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; . . . 1 John 3:1-2 (KJV)

God is still reaping His harvest after His kind.
