Through the Gate
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4 (KJV)
God has some very special and precious things to show us in these last days. He has a plan and a purpose that He wants us to hear and see so that we can be involved in what He is going to do before the coming of the Lord. We must gain access to His Presence in order to see and hear. How? Enter in at the gate of Thanksgiving –
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord: This is the gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. Psalm 118:19-21 (AMP)
-and then move into His Courts with Praise! There He will beckon to us to approach the Throne and come up into His very lap (Heb. 4:16).
Our Covenant with him is better than Moses; it is better than that of Joshua – When they went into the Tabernacle God met with them (Exo. 33:9-11). When we go into the Courts of God we too will hear God speak “face to face,” as a man speaketh unto his friend. He will speak to us just as though He were speaking to Jesus when He was walking on the earth.
We are to “be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.” This means to live a thankful life and to bless His name by yielding every circumstance to the name of Jesus; by calling upon Him for all our need.
Enter, Watch and Wait
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved . . . Habakkuk 2:1-3 (KJV)
Watchers See and Hear. They Cry Out and make preparation for the coming of the Lord (the moving in the midst of humanity as well as the 2nd coming of His Person). (Isa. 40:3)
And NOW also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: . . . And the PEOPLE asked him, saying, What shall we do then? … Then came also PUBLICANS to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? . . . THE SOLDIERS likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? . . . John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Luke 3:9-16 (KJV)
Notice! When the prophetic watcher (John the Baptist) spoke: The people were shaken, the tax collectors and politicians were shaken, the military was shaken, and in another Scripture regarding the same incident, even the religious leaders were shaken!
Those who watch and wait, you and I, are to prepare the way of the Lord in the heads, and hearts of our society. We can accomplish this only when we hear and speak what God is speaking.
