Leviticus 25:9 speaks of the Jubilee of the Day of Atonement. A silver ornamented shofar was to be blown to herald “the tenth day of the seventh month” (September this year on our calendar). This was the beginning of a time when all debts were canceled, properties were returned to the rightful owners, and indentured slaves were set free.
Jubilee is coming! Look for tremendous change in the world during these next few months. This is a time of prophetic promise in majestic proportion.
Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. Leviticus 25:9 (KJV)
We know that the Old Testament is filled with “types” of New Testament truth. This Old Testament picture speaks to us of the liberation of planet earth from the bondage of sin by the advent of Jesus, the Jubilee of God. The “trumpet that was sounded was ornamented in silver (a “type” or symbol of Redemption) and the word “Jubilee” carries a wealth of hidden meaning.
Jubilee = an Acclamation of joy; a Battle-cry of Victory; a Loud noise of Rejoicing; the shouting of a High, Joyful sound.
The day of atonement is to be accompanied by acclamations of joy, battle-cries of victory; and loud shouts of rejoicing and high, joyful sounds. Our Jubilee !!!
Jesus is our Jubilee! Jubilee is a “type” of the present day Jubilee of God, Jesus the Christ.
Jesus is our Acclamation of Joy!
Jesus is our Battle-cry of Victory!
Jesus is our Loud Noise of Rejoicing!
Jesus is our Shout!
Jesus is our High, Joyful Sound!
Let His name, the Name above every name, be the Jubilee of your lips. When the Israelites circled Jericho and made a Jubilee with their mouths the walls fell down flat (Joshua 6:20). When there was a Jubile utterance in the camp, the enemy knew that the Presence of the Lord was in the camp (1Samuel 4:5-6). Your head will be “lifted up above (your) enemies round about (you)” when you Jubile with the name of Jesus (Psalm 27:6).
Today is the Jubilee of God in , and through, Jesus the Christ, the “Rest” of God! “For we which have believed do enter into rest, . . . although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” (Hebrews 4:3) Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:11 (KJV))
Be believing! Don’t let doubt (unbelief) cause you to miss the “Rest” of God, the true “Jubilee” of God. Have faith and confess Jesus Lordship over every circumstance today!
