What Do You Do When You’re Outnumbered?
The integrity of Christianity is under attack with its God given moral code and you and I, as Christians, have a responsibility to stand strong for the immutable right of God to order His creation.
This means that we, each of us, should be personally involved in sharing the Gospel and the plans and purposes of God concerning society.
But, you may say, “We are Outnumbered,” and it is not Politically Correct to speak our minds concerning our faith and practice of it. Beloved, we are in a war for the preservation of our Faith, our Nation, and our Children.
A good example of this is that Jennifer Jorgenson, the Long Island, New York, woman who was convicted of manslaughter in the 2008 death of her six-day-old daughter, has won her appeal by arguing that her daughter was not yet a person. If a six-day-old baby is not a person, who is?
Pagan secularism has dominated American Christianity for the last Century.
Though troubling, those who are enabled to see the world from God’s perspective need not be troubled by the false religions that tread the earth’s stage. Remember, in the spring of 1942, the Axis powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan) dominated nearly half of the globe. In three short years they would be utterly gone.
Peter J. Leithart, in his Commentary on 1 & 2 Kings wrote:
What should strike fear to this once Christian nation is that Believers have abandoned the public square. Theology is “bloody divisive,” but the sole way for secularists to dominate the culture is to expunge theology from the public square, forcing Biblical influence over public policy safely behind the four walls of the church.
This is exactly what secular humanism and communism are attempting to do in our society today.
University Campus’ are establishing “trigger warnings” to keep people from being “offended.” A “trigger warning” is “a statement at the start of a piece of writing, video, etc., alerting the reader or viewer to the fact that it contains potentially distressing material (often used to introduce a description of such content.”
I like what The Urban Dictionary said:
A phrase posted at the beginning of various posts, articles, or blogs. Its purpose is to warn weak minded people who are easily offended that they might find what is being posted offensive in some way due to its content, causing them to overreact or otherwise start acting like a dip****.
The quote usually attributed to Edmund Burke (even though Burke did not coin the phrase): “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” could not be more true. We must, as Christians, stand for biblical values in every area of our lives. In other words, we must do something.
One thing is for sure: We need not be intimidated or fearful.
Vegtius (4th century), Roman military strategist said, “Let him who desires peace prepare for war.” We are fighting “the good fight of faith.”
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 (KJV)
That verse should give us the fortitude to be like Ferdinand Foch. Ferdinand Foch OM GCB (October 2 1851 – March 20 1929) was a French soldier and writer. During the final months of the First World War he was the supreme commander of Allied forces. From the front lines he sent this message to General Joffre during the Battle of the Marne (September 8, 1914).
My right gives way, my left yields, everything’s fine – I shall attack!
No matter what things look like – move forward!
This is the battle cry of the Christian. This is the battle cry of faith.
