Here We Are

Here we are.

The last of Thanksgiving leftovers are reminding us of the wonderful meal we had with family and friends.

Hopefully, you have spent some time considering all the things that you should be thankful for, as we have. We’ve found that God is faithful and what He has promised He has provided according to His Word.

The ad’s for Christmas started weeks ago and were only temporarily swept aside for the Black Friday buying frenzy. Atheists and many other liberal’s, are attempting to “Grinch” the whole Christmas season and religions other than Christianity are screaming that they are being offended, marginalized, or otherwise put out by there even being a Christmas celebration.

I appreciate my few Jewish friends for not taking offense and allowing us Christians our time of rejoicing and giving gifts to commemorate God’s gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus, the Christ, to redeem lost humanity.

The birth of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world is worthy of note and celebration. No amount of anti-God rhetoric or demonstration will nullify the supernatural conception and virgin birth of our Lord. As the immutable Word of the Living God (the Bible) records:

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

God, and His Christ, do not evaporate just because some people choose not to believe. Such would be laughable if it wasn’t so tragic a misconception. God simply is, and everyone will have to face Him one day.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Our great nation was founded upon Christian principles as found in the Bible. America became a land filled with exceptional people because of their desire to please and honor God. To turn our backs on the God in Whom We Trust, is akin to committing suicide. It is God who has blessed us, and protected us thus far.

To yield to the anti-God, anti-Christ crowd is to turn our backs on the One who has made us able to achieve what we have achieved. It is God who makes rich and ads no sorrow to it. Prosperity comes from the Lord and it is His will.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Here is the bottom line:

Whether or not some political power or radical religious Caliphate brings an end to celebrating Christmas, Christ was still born, lived a sinless life, offered Himself as a Sacrifice for the world, died, was buried, and raised from the dead on the third day. He now is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High

Christ Jesus will still come again to establish His rule and reign on earth for one thousand years. After that – eternity.

So, ready or not –

Christmas is ComingMerry Christmas!
