Our verse in Ephesians is not heard from many of our pulpits today. To listen to most of today’s modernist Preachers will lead you to believe that God does not really care how you live.
This kind of message may make everyone feel good about themselves as they live in a manner contrary to the will of God but will ultimately lead to an eternal stay in hell’s torment.
The Gospel is “Good News” because it frees us from the bondage of sin and death not because it gives us license to live a life of depravity and not “feel condemned” about it.
True Freedom (Liberty) is only found as we live thankfully toward God and respectfully toward ourselves and others in the purity and holiness available in Christ.
As it is written, “Be Holy, even as I am Holy.”
God wouldn’t tell us to do it unless He enabled us to.
