Holding on to wrongs done or hurtful words said develops roots of bitterness that feed the tree that bears the deadly fruit of unforgiveness.

Ephesians 4:27 goes on to say, “neither give place to the devil.”

Holding on to anger opens the door to demons of violence and  murder. “Anger worketh not the righteousness of God.” There is nothing righteous about holding grudges.

The Law of Love in Christ demands that the Christian be slow to anger and quick to forgive. In fact, God’s love cannot be provoked and does not even think evil (1 Cor. 13:5) and endures all things (1 Cor. 13:7).

Let forgiveness flow out of you to the same degree that God forgives you in Christ.

Let the sunset put and end to each day.
