Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 KJV
Yes, He healed us; at a great cost that we must never forget. Jesus is the spotless Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world.
We must guard against joyfully receiving the benefits without regard to the price paid. We also need to understand that when we emphasize physical healing we are diminishing the value of our being delivered from the sin nature and the wholeness it brings.
Flesh wants physical comfort. Spirit wants soul salvation and its resulting sanctification. Don’t seek one without the other.
Thank God for the benefits!
Thank God for the price paid because of agape love!
