And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 KJV
God chose and blessed Abram (Abraham) because he would believe, walk in faith, and teach his children the words and ways of God.
Abraham is considered to be the father of faith and the blessings promised to him become every covenant believers in Christ Jesus. It is faith that pleases God and receives the promises made to him and his seed..
Real faith is expressed by action and faith appropriates the blessings of Abraham. Faith must be taught for each succeeding generation to walk in its blessings. It only comes by hearing the word of God.
The first, the primary, place the word of faith that brings the blessing is taught is in the home. This leaves a legacy of a relationship with God filled with righteousness, peace, and joy, faith, hope, and love, favor and blessing for our children and children’s children to enjoy.
