Friendship

The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. Proverbs 14:20 KJV

It’s amazing how many people gravitate to you when you are increasing and how many disappear when you go through difficulties.

One thing is sure, you find out who your real friends are when times are tough.

My first Pastor, Dr. Bill Sharp, used to say, “Rich has many friends, but poor is an orphan”.  How right he was.

Though many withdrew their fellowship during the set backs in moving our church ahead we found that we had a few wonderful, loyal, committed friends who stood by us and offered much strength and encouragement.

It’s worth the battle to find out who your true friends are.

Remember, God is for you and you are never alone. He will bring you through any and every difficulty even when those you thought were with you fall by the wayside.

Thank God for faithful friends!
