Fact & Fiction

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: James 1:19 KJV

Each of us have two ears and one mouth. Perhaps God wants us to listen at least twice as much as we speak.

Gathering all the facts before we speak will save us a lot of embarrassment. There’s an old adage that says, “It’s better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Researching the truth of a matter will also smooth out the emotional roller coaster of reacting to falsehoods.

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. James 1:20 KJV
