But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.
Acts 1:8 AMPC
Pentecost is not a denomination. It’s a personal enduement of power for every yielded believer.
Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is an enabling, empowering encounter with the Holy Spirit of Glory given to every yielded believer in Jesus the Christ.
To be “yielded” is to willingly present yourself as a soldier to your commanding officer for orders, to place a person or thing at one’s disposal.
When you willingly present yourself you receive the weapons of your warfare.
For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4 AMPC
For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. 2 Corinthians 10:3 AMPC
