Double Minded

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:8 KJV

Don’t be deceived into thinking that a double minded person will receive anything from God. Consider, if you will, the parable of the sower.

And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Mark 4:18‭-‬19 KJV

Our attention must undividedly fis on the things of God.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33 KJV

Faithfulness

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. Luke 16:10 KJV

There is not one area of life where faithfulness is not required. The lack of it leads to disgrace and defeat.

We are stewards of our lives and personally responsible for how we handle what we have and where we are.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV

What you are with little is what you will be with much. If you won’t tithe when you have little you won’t tithe when you have much.

If you won’t be generous when you have little you won’t be generous when you have much.

If you won’t work hard when you have little you won’t ever have much.

If you won’t love unconditionally when you are loved little you won’t love unconditionally even when you are loved much.

It’s a matter of character and faith.

Start now. Reap later.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7 KJV

Life Coach

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. Proverbs 15:22 KJV

These days, it seems that everyone wants to be a life coach or a mentor. Sadly, way too many haven’t lived long enough to have developed successful life skills themselves.

Mentors and coaches are good to the degree they have something worthwhile to offer. Find a seasoned mentor that is more interested in your well-being than a check.

You don’t have to start from the bottom. Start where others have left off. In other words, find and maintain a relationship with someone older and more experienced than you who has the heart of the Father.

This kind of mentor will allow you to soar while helping you past the obstacles that only experience can see.

Pastors need pastors as do all five-fold offices and market place ministers.

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. Proverbs 15:32 KJV

Honor

Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:30 KJV

The concepts of honor and respect seems to have been lost to this generation of secular humanists. To them, nothing is sacred.

The progressive left not only has no regard for civility but is also without moral restaint. No wonder, for man without God is given over to the vile and degrading passions of the sin nature.

Scripture teaches us to honor God and to show honor to those to whom honor is due. God has little estimation of those who do not honor Him and His Christ.

“. . . them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 2:30 KJV

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Romans 12:10 KJV

Honor and respect are critical components to the longevity of a civil society.

Role Model

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Training is not just teaching. My mother used to say, “Do what I say, not what I do”. Believe me, that does not work.

Training is repetitive action. Atheletes, marksmen, welders, artists, etc., all are trained by repetitive action that reinforces teaching.

The same is true of how a child is trained as a Christian. How a parent teaches is important but more important is how they model. A Child will copy what they observe.

A Child will Honor like you honor, Love like you love, Worship like you worship, have Faith like you have faith, and Serve like you serve.

You are the role model.

What are you modeling?

Does your walking match up with your talking?

Are you the same at home as you are at church?

Just a thought for today.

Rebellion?

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my concerns, and see if there is any rebellious way inme, and lead me in the ancient way.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 MEV

Are we spending enough time with the Holy Spirit so that He can reveal the motives of our heart? I’m not talking about introspection here.

Human beings are experts at hiding character flaws such as rebellious bents. Only the Holy Spirit can sound the depths of our heart and bring its true motives to our consciousness.

The heart is more deceitful than all things and desperately wicked; who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9 MEV

Spend time praying in tongues and listen to the Voice of the Spirit, which is the Voice of God, and yield to His instruction.

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the watchtower; and I will keep watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am reproved. Habakkuk 2:1 MEV

Crucified

Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Galatians 5:24 MEV

According to the Modernist preachers of today there is no need to live a holy life. They advocate for drinking, drugging, sexual promiscuity, and all manner of non-biblical life-styles.

What ever happened to being “crucified with Christ”? The world is demanding that perverts be exposed and castigated, what about the Church of the living God who calls it to purity.

You shall be holy unto Me; for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from other peoples, that you should be Mine. Leviticus 20:26 MEV

I’m thinking that it is time for a reality check. It’s time for a return to biblical values. It’s time to repent!

Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17 MEV
