Our God

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 1:16 KJV

Our God is an awesome God! He created all that there is and He created it for our pleasure. Yes, all things were created with you in mind!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1‭-‬3 KJV

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1 Timothy 6:17 KJV

Creation Speaks

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Psalms 19:1‭-‬2 KJV

Simple observation or detailed study of the creation demands of one to recognize that a Creator exists. Just seeing a watch or an automobile should cause a person to realize that there must be a maker.

Someone had the idea, the vision, and began to materialize the product.

Our verse today states that man is without excuse when he rejects the notion of the Creator of all things in that the mere existence of such intricate and diverse design shows the existence of the Designer.

The Bible tells us what the heavens declare.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3 KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1‭-‬3 KJV

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing Zephaniah 3:17 KJV

All of creation declares the glory of God, even as it labors under the curse of the fall of mankind in Adam.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Romans 1:20 KJV

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  Romans 8:22‭-‬23 KJV

Give your heart and life to Him. He will save uou, rejoice over you, rest in His love for you, and sing over you. He will!

75th Birthday

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Psalms 139:14-16 KJV

75 years ago a woman who was probably a prostitute gave birth to her 7th son. Like the others she left them, possibly like me, on the steps of the Ventura Orphanage. My home was to lie on my back in a crib for 10 months. I couldn’t roll I couldn’t crawl, I just lay there.

Then the Stovers came, and like so many couples that couldn’t bear children themselves, they took me to their home and raised me as their own. They gave me their name, loved me, and worked to strengthen me so I could roll, crawl, swim, and walk. Actually, I could swim before I could crawl. That’s how my Mother strengthed my feeble body.

I thank God I was not aborted. I thank God my physical parts were not harvested to be sold to the highest bidder. Evidently Planned Parenthood was not in Ventura, California at the time. I thank God that He had a plan for my life even before I was fully formed in the womb.

I’ve been living that life and enjoying every minute of it. Well, it wasn’t always that great but Jesus came into my life and I was adopted into God’s family. I found that I was born to be born-again just like you were. Don’t let your origin and/or past keep you from Christ and salvation.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

What Went Wrong?

What Went Wrong?

He replied, Have you never read that He Who made them from the beginning made them male and female, Matthew 19:4 (AMP)

To listen to many in contemporary society, one might wonder, “What went wrong,” with people if God made them of only two gender identities and qualities? To hear some talk today, you would think that God made a big mistake and that individuals, and not God, have the right to choose what gender they want to be, regardless of their physical make up. That would be like me, a “white man,” saying, “I’m a black man,” and then believing that it was so and demanding that everyone else does too.

The answer is really quite simple. When Adam rebelled against God (sinned), in the Garden of Eden, his DNA passed his sin nature to all future generations. He, and his wife, had decided to follow the devils suggestion that they could decide what was right and what was wrong without regard for what their Creator said.

Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, the former destructive, the Latter saving]. Romans 5:14 (AMP)

For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:22 (AMP)

Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life]. 1 Corinthians 15:45 (AMP)

That single act of rebellion condemned all future generations to living without the benefit of the wisdom, or knowledge, of God. They were locked into the sin nature and separated from God.

Their answer was to create their own gods, develop their own worship systems and religions, like secularism, and determine who, or what, they are based upon a whim, a lustful urge, or a demonic suggestion. The result has been chaotic at best.

Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it). Romans 1:25 (AMP)

What is the answer? Simply this: Recognize that sin is working in your life and repent. Ask God for forgiveness, and ask Jesus, God’s only Begotten Son, to take over and deliver from the sin nature that is corrupting, restricting, and controlling your life.

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (AMP)
