Threefold Cord

So now abide faith, hope, and love, these three. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 MEV

The threefold cord of faith, hope and love cannot be quickly broken

Hope lays hold of the promises of God and, with joyful expectation, refuses to let them go.

Faith lays hold of those things hoped for and moves them into a present possession.

Unfailing Love empowers faith to bring that which is not yet seen to fruition.

The threefold cord of faith, hope and love work together to stand against all adversaries to guard and protect one another.

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Ephesians 2:12 KJV

Without Christ Jesus we are without God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV

Without Christ Jesus we have no hope.

Without Christ Jesus we are strangers from God’s covenant promises as given to Abraham, the father of faith.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29 KJV

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5 KJV

The love of God, who is Love, fills us when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The Holy Ghost brings the character and nature of God into our character and nature. His agape Love floods our being and we become lovers instead of haters, peaceful instead of violent, confident instead of insecure, and led of the Spirit instead of by the flesh.

The Blessed Hope cannot disappoint because He is Love and Love never fails.

Prisoners of Hope

Return to your stronghold, prisoners who now have hope. Today I declare that I will return to you a double portion. Zechariah 9:12 MEV

My Hope is based on nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness.

I receive the double portion blessing promised to those who love and trust Him.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord , and whose hope is the Lord . Jeremiah 17:7 MEV

God is so good!

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 KJV

God is nearer than the sound of your voice.  Even before you know you need help, it’s on the way.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 KJV

Have no fear, God is near

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalms 9:9 KJV

Help is on the way!

Renewed Life

“For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, and its stump may die in the ground, yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant. Job 14:7‭-‬9 MEV

Hopelessness is crippling.  There is nothing that will give place to spirits of oppression, despair, addiction and suicide than a loss of hope.

But God sent His Son, Jesus, to restore hope to the hopeless, bring help to the helpless and faith to the faithless.

After Jesus rose from the dead He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort, encourage, strengthen and guide those who would receive Him as Lord and Savior.

No matter how hopeless you think your situation or circumstance is, just the slightest whiff of the Holy Spirit will quicken you and cause faith and hope to arise in your soul.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 MEV

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. John 16:7 MEV

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 MEV

But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own authority. But He will speak whatever He hears, and He will tell you things that are to come. John 16:13 MEV

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 KJV

Biblical Hope is an excited expectancy that what God has said will come to pass. It is hope in Christ that has substance and substantial evidence.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Faith filled hope in Christ will never disappoint. It will speak of those yet unseen things hoped for and see those things those things come to be.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.   Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:22‭-‬24 KJV
