Deceived

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts.
Proverbs 21:2 MEV

The unregenerate, natural, human mind thinks in unrighteous, twisted, and convoluted ways. It actually hates God, His Christ, and His Word.

for the carnal mind is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can it be, Romans 8:7 MEV

It takes being born-again and yieldedness to the Word of God, Jesus the Lord of glory, and the Spirit of God to overcome the deceptions of the world.

For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. John 3:20 MEV

What we perceive outside of the Spirit of Truth is the darkness of deceit.

if your eye is unclear, your whole body will be full of darkness. Therefore, if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:23 MEV

Receive Jesus as Lord. Read the Bible. Hear the Word preached. Yield to the Holy Spirit.

It will change everything!

Be a Lighthouse

The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.  John 1:5 MEV

There is nothing like a lighthouse beacon shining through the storm to warn the ocean goung ships away from the danger of a rocky and dangerous shoreline. Many a vessel, cargo and crew have avoided disaster because of the lighthouse.

Many people are navigating the storms of life and are headed for destruction on the craggy cliffs of secular humanistic ideologies. The great need is for light to dispel the darkness.

There has never been a more critical time for each Christian to be a lighthouse that shines the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the darkness to show the way to safety. Even the smallest light overcomes darkness.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  John 14:6 MEV

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.  Matthew 5:16 MEV

Lighthouse

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  Matthew 5:16 KJV

Jesus is the Light of men. Christ in you is not only the hope of glory but the Light that saves human vessels from destruction.

In one sense you, dear believer, are the light house that warns each vessel away from the demonic reef of danger. Let your light shine, like a light on a hill, for all to see. Be light in the darkness leading the way to salvations safe harbor.

The need is great and the laborers are few. Pray the Lord of the harvest thrust laborers into the Harvest that carry light into every dark corner of the world.

Light

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  John 1:5 KJV

My backgroung picture today is the Las Vegas sunrise at 5:00 AM this morning.

Light always dispels darkness whether it comprehends it or not.

In fact, when a person hears the Gospel they seldom comprehend it on a mental level. The amazing thing is, though, that the word preached dispels darkness on a spiritual level and there is a drawing to understand that is birthed by faith.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV

The touch of light in the spirit then begins to illuminate the soul and replace darkness with light.

God Sent

image

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.  John 5:24 KJV

God sent Jesus to give life, and life more abundantly.

Only when you “hear” the word He speaks will you receive forgiveness of sin, access to, and acceptance by, the Father, and eternal life in Christ.

I’m speaking of hearing in the sense of receiving revelation of who Jesus is and  yielding to Him as both Savior and Lord. As you know, you can hear sound and not comprehend what is being said.

May your hearing be that which brings saving faith and abundant life both now and forever.

Life Style

http://bible.com/1171/mat.5.14.MEV

To many professing Christians are living life styles that are anything but Christian thanks to the modernist, spirit of anti-Christ, preaching heard in pulpits and on the air waves today.

Their light on a hill is more a lit billboard promoting the corruption and perversion of the world. God’s marvelous grace is used as an excuse to live a life of disgrace.

The light of a true Christian who has repented of sin should be the bright Light of the holy Christ within. It should be the light of one who has “come out from among them” and become set apart for the Master’s use.

The light on a hill should show others the work of the Holy Spirit that conforms the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. It should draw the lost to a life of righteousness, peace and joy.

Be a light.

Light Comes

Light . . .

In the study of quantum physics, it has been found that nothing travels faster than light. Even gravity moves at a pace that is less than the speed of light. According to the leaders in the scientific community that study such things, our sun could explode and the effect on planet earth would not be felt until eight minutes later, when the light of the event reached our position.

The hearing of this simple truth caught my attention and stirred something within my spirit.

My mind went to the verse in the book of John that says,

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? John 3:12 (KJV)

Scripture is historical and spiritual truth; given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to faithful men who wrote what they heard, perceived, or saw. Because of the historical accuracy of the Bible we can count on the spiritual accuracy of it’s record also.

When science is applied in pure fashion, it leads one to God, not away from Him, because it validates the written Word of God that we call the Bible. This discovery of the truth of light is borne out in our spiritual understanding also.

Light came before anything could be set in order:

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:3-4 (KJV)

Faith cannot come without revelation (light). Revelation cannot come but by hearing the Word of God:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV)

So too comes healing (we must have revelation of Jesus as our healer), prosperity (we must have revelation of God as provider), etc.

Light must come first.

Life . . .

Our Light (revelation) comes in a person. The person of God’s own son, Jesus Christ (The Anointed One), who is the Life.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5 (KJV)

In this one divine person, God revealed (gave light regarding) Himself to humanity.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 1 John 5:20 (KJV)

Consider this, in the light of John 1:1-5, above: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17-KJV). First came the Word spoken, “And God said, Let there be light; and there was light” (Gen 1:3-Amp) (And God said, Let HIM be light …(according to some Hebrew scholars of Jewish Tradition)). Then, vs. 3 says, “Everything came into existence” (Joh. 1:3-Amp). Nothing moves outside of the light. Nothing moves faster than the light comes.

Jesus had to come before mankind could actually comprehend God as Father and receive the eternal life that He so graciously provided.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

God the Father, sent His Word (Gk. dabar), His answer spoken of (His revelation of Himself spoken) to bring us the life which is the light of men in order to heal and rescue us from all pit-falls.
