But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

There are three main “houses. ”
The “house” of the Family.
The “house” of the Church.
The “house” of the Society.
The “house” of the Family is the foundation for each of the other “houses”,
Married couples (one man and one woman) are the foundation of family and society. The health of their relationship determines the spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being of their children and, ultimately, society.
A married couple becomes a unique, one of a kind, entity.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV
A family must work together in harmony. Harmony is not discordant. Harmony is what makes orchestras great.
The same is true in the other two “houses”.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body (family) fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:15-16 KJV
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 KJV
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; —-Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:1, 7 KKV
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-9 KJV
