What You Say

I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalms 91:2 KJV

What I Say About God is What I Have In Him.

It is so important to understad the your words establish your true life in God.

Without speaking, confessing, declaring, there is no reality to life.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

Thoughts are “cast down” and silenced by speaking the Word of God.

Your racing mind can be reigned in with the bridle of your spoken words. The most effective words are the words of scripture spoken in faith believing.

Memorize verses and rehearse them over and over and find yourself with the well disciplined mind the Bible promises.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound [well disciplined] mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22 KJV

Faith comes by hearing.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV

Results come by acting on what’s heard.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26 KJV

The first action of faith is to say what you have received and believed.

Mark Hankins says, “Faith will not move anything until it moves you. The first part of you that your faith will move is your mouth!”

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV

The word “Whosoever” includes absolutely anyone, and everyone, that will speak the word of faith that they have heard and received in their hearts.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23 KJV

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3 KJV

What you say has everything to do with your future.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 KJV

This why it is critical that you speak the Word of God and biblically based concepts.

What Did You Say?

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him. Proverbs 12:14 KJV

Words are powerful. Be careful how you use them. What you say will fashion your day and your tomorrow’s.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 KJV

Say what you want for your future and you will have a great now.

Put action to what you say and watch the expressed results take place.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? James 2:20 KJV

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. James 2:18 KJV

Set a watch, O Lord , before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.  Psalms 141:3 KJV

Don’t get hung by your tongue. In other words, don’t say what you don’t want. Words hold the key to your future.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”  So, words are powerful. God’s Word, the Bible, warns us over and over to speak what God says and not what feelings or circumstance dictate.

God wants us to live, and have an abundant life.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV

Let’s determine to only speak words of life and blessing so that God can have His way in our lives.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.  Proverbs 13:3 KJV

Your words act as the rudder of life. In other words, you steer your course with what you say. They are words of failure or they are words of faith.

Our verse today is admonishing us to guard, or watch what we say. Talking without thinking of the result of what we say is almost always disastrous.

Listen to yourself. Do you really want what you’re saying? Things like, “I’m sick and tired . . . “, or “I never get a break,” will give you sickness, weariness, and missed opportunity. Say instead, “I’m healthy and prospering.” After all, that’s the will of God for your life.

The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:1‭-‬2 KJV
