Love

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Luke 6:27 KJV

Christians need to learn to walk in love without condoning sin. Our concept of “love” has been so secularized that we think it means we have to accept all manner of behavior as normal.

The simple truth, however, is:

For the wages of sin is [still] death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV

Love actually demands that we warn the sinner of the consequences of sin.

It has been said, and rightly so, ” Hate the sin but love the sinner.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Love

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV

He died and rose so that we could live. Yes, Jesus lived, died, and rose from the dead so that you and I could live.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:8‭-‬10 KJV

Why did He do It? Limitless Love.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

How’s Your Love Walk?

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 KJV

Why is it so easy to be critical of others while it’s so difficult to deal with ourselves?

Perhaps we should be more focused on yielding our lives to Christ than we are in trying to make everyone else fit our concept of what is right.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3 KJV

Walking in love is simply extending the grace of God to others.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 KJV

The next time you want to correct someone else, take a breath and think how you would want to be treated.

Remember, God’s love never fails.

Forgive

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31‭-‬32 KJV

If you don’t- He won’t.

Now, that’s something to think about, especially for all the haters out there.
Even if you have actually been wronged, hurt, etc, the Bible demands that you forgive.

Only God has all the facts and can judge rightly. Be quick to forgive and let God handle things from there.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Psalms 103:6 KJV

Foolishness

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 KJV

God is both Love and the Righteous Judge. He is seated for life, and for Him that is forever.
Irregardless of His unfailing mercy, love, and grace, He must, as the Righteous Judge, judge willful sin.

Willful sin removes the cover of grace that way too many use for a licence to live a sinful lifestyle.

Adultry holds the grounds for divorce. So too spiritual adultry tears the fabric of covenant grace.

God is merciful and compassionate but it is foolishness to push it.

Worship Him

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.  Matthew 2:11 KJV

Wise men still seek Him and worship Him with bended knee and material gifts.

After all, we owe Him everything yet cannot pay the debt we owe. He paid the penalty for our sin because we could not.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 KJV

Jesus is our King, High Priest, and Sinless Sacrifice for sin.

Bring Him a gift today and worship Him in His house, the local church.

Merry Christmas!

Holy

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jude 1:4 KJV

God said, “Be holy for I Am holy”. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments”.
Grace is the unlimited love of God extended to whosoever will unto salvation.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 KJV

Grace is unmerited favor that proceeds from God who is Love. Grace is never license to sin. Grace allows imperfect man to grow in grace unto mature manhood in Christ. Grace gives space for sanctification to take place in the committed disciple of Christ who is becoming conformed to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

We should never despise nor abuse the gift of God’s grace.
