Motive

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord , but not with a perfect heart. 2 Chronicles 25:2 KJV

What is not done out of the Love of God is meaningless. In other words, motive is everything in the eyes of God.
We are called to be obedient to God’s Word, yet unwilling obedience is unacceptable to Him. What He wants is obedience that has its basis in our Love for Him.

Even faith only works by Love (God’s love).

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5:6 KJV

The promises available through faith are only to thosr who are willing as well as obedient.

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:19 KJV

Act Upon It

Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me will do the works that I do also. And he will do greater works than these, because I am going to My Father.  John 14:12 MEV

If Jesus said it, and He did, then we should press in to it with every fiber of our being.

Jesus said it, I believe it, and that settles it!

Study the Scripture and learn to know the voice of the Spirit. Then yield to His direction. It’s that simple.

There are three who testify in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and the three are one. 1 John 5:7 MEV

Don’t let your mind and emotions talk you out of what you know in your spirit and you will move freely in the realm of the supernatural with signs, wonders and miracles following you.

Remember, we are called to a life of faith and obedience.

Just Do It!

But the word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart, so that you may do it. Deuteronomy 30:14 MEV

Having knowledge is useless unless what is known is put into action. You can learn how to lose weight or how to get in shape, but if you don’t implement a plan of action nothing will happen.

Many great ideas die on the bed of inaction.

Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 MEV
All the faith in the world will not be fruitful without an act of obedience.

So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. But a man may say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:17‭-‬18 MEV

Foundations

“If the foundations [of a godly society] are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3 AMP

The foundations of a society are easily eroded if the people of God become complacent and lose their zeal for righteousness.

The only way to restore the foundations is to begin by repenting and crying out for the mercy of God. Then, “Whatsoever He says, do it!”

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

Then, having done all stand in faith believing.

Disciples

And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost. Acts 13:52 KJV

True disciples of Christ should be full of the joy of the Lord and filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
A true disciple will not kick against the clear biblical mandates but will embrace them as the gifts of love that they are.

Way too often the new believer is convinced by the prejudices of man, instilled by the spirit of anti-Christ, that the commands of Christ are optional or out dated. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Word of Truth, the Bible, is the immutable, unalterable, eternal will of God. To ignore or alter any part of it is to stand against the Holy One of Israel. To do so is to the joy and power that only receiving the Gospel brings.

Obedience

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Psalms 32:8 KJV

Our God  teaches, instructs, and guides us by His Word and Spirit if we will but let Him.
And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord ? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 KJV

It is willing obedience that brings blessing.

God rewards diligent seekers and calls His own those that keep His commandments.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.   He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. John 14:23‭-‬24 KJV

To the obedient is the promise “I will guide thee with mine eye”  and “my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

Wow!

Dominion

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11 KJV

The Word of God must dominate our thought life or we will continually find ourselves falling short (sin) in our relationship with the Lord.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

When His Word holds dominion in us we walk in harmony with God. Then, and only then, will we yield to His plan and purpose for our lives and enjoy the promise given to Jeremiah:

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
