For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Titus 2:11‭-‬12 KJV

All the promises in Christ are yes and amen to those who deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, who live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; not just anybody.

The teaching that Jesus came to liberate us from restrictions and make it ok to live a sinful life-style is simply not biblical.

Grace delivers us from all destructive ploys of the devil and the fallen nature and empowers us to live holy.

Alcohol In The Pulpit

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Proverbs 31:4 KJV

I was an alcoholic when I was born-again in July, 1973. It wasn’t long after that when the Spirit of Truth quickened today’s verse to me.

I was reading my Bible and had just read Proverbs 31 when He asked me, “Who are you?”, and it hit me, “I am a king.”

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:10 KJV

I was delivered from alcoholism at that very moment and have not had a drink of any kind of alcoholic beverage since. I won’t even take communion with alcoholic wine. Grap juice is unfermented and pure.

Beloved of God, don’t be deceived, even a little alcohol is a hook with which the devil will ultimately destroy you. Why would God deliver me if it is good for you?

Christians need the Holy Spirit, not drugs and alcohol. If you’ve fallen into the devil’s snare repent and flee alcohols lure while you can.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Ephesians 5:18 KJV

Abstain from all appearance of evil.  1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV

Jesus saves, heals and delivers. He always has and always will for those who call upon Him.
No matter what your temptations, whether over eating, drugs, alcohol, pornography or other sexual sins, Jesus is willing and able to deliver snd keep you.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.  2 Timothy 1:12 KJV

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more

John 8:11 KJV

Men Wanted

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV

Godly Men are needed to set things right. It’s time to stand up for righteousness, integrity and purity.
Pornography and its resulant perversion is rampant both within and without the church. Homosexuality and all other forms of perversion are becoming more and more prevalent in society. Deceit and corruption are becoming the norm instead of the exception.

It will take a strong, determined generation of men to turn the tide. We need modern day men of Issachar who know the times we live in and know what to do..

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.           1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV

Will you take a stand and fight for what is right?

. . . the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32 KJV

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14 KJV

God tells us to be holy for He is Holy. In other words we are to strive to be like Him.

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. Leviticus 20:26 KJV

Jesus sacrifice of Himself, the “Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world,” provides the ability to live a pure and righteous life.

What God requires He supernaturally inspires.

He also wants us to be at peacemakers where ever possible with all mankind. After all, He sent Jesus, the Prince of Peace to the world.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 KJV

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Philippians 4:8 KJV

What we choose to think is critical. The Christian is admonished to, “Bring every thought captive to the knowledge of Christ.”

Refusing to entertain any thought that is not true, pure, lovely, or a good report is key to a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, joy filled, peaceful life. This starts with allowing the agape love of God to rule in your heart.

Then, and only then, can forgiveness flow fully and freely in, and through your life. This removes all bitterness, anger, and strife from your life and gives place to righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Thinking “on these things,” will cause your life to flourish.

He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.  Proverbs 21:21 KJV

Living a holy life because you have been declared righteous is still God’s call and righteous demand. God says, “Be holy even as I Am holy”.

God makes you and me righteous by the shed blood of Jesus, “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”. Living a holy righteous life is up to us.

We have been enabled, empowered, and equipped to live victorious over sin! What we do with what we have received is up to us.

Disciplining ourselves and yielding to the Word of God (the Bible) and the Spirit of God, will bring us

life, righteousness, and honour”.
