Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
Psalms 95:11 KJV

Why would anyone want to rebel agaist God who loves them and has their best interest at heart?

God doesn’t condone it. That’s why He considers reballion and disobedience to be the same as witchcraft.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord , he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23 KJV

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.  Isaiah 28:12 KJV

Some things never change. There are so many of whom it can be said, “yet they would not hear”.

Now, I’m not a denominational Pentecostal but I do live according to the biblical admonition to repent, receive Jesus, and be filled with the Holy Ghost & fire. In other words, I live according to what the scriptures teach.

Why anyone would resist the Holy Spirit baptism that brings rest and refreshing, among many other benefits, is beyond my comprehension.

For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. Isaiah 28:11 KJV

“This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing” (v. 12)
Speaking in tongues is part and parcel of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. Don’t you think it’s time to agree, if you haven’t already, with the Word of God (the Bible)?

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 KJV

Our verse today is not a salvation call to the sinner, although it is often used in that context. It is actually a call to believers who need to slow down and spend time in prayerful communion with the Lord.
He desires our fellowship because He knows how much we need it. He longs to reason with us in order to give us revelation insight and knowledge.

Slow down. Set a time each day to spend with Him. You will actually accomplish more and do it with peace and joy in your heart.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
Acts 4:23 KJV

God wants you to join a local church and remain faithful to its mission. The simple truth is, You need the church and the church needs you.
God calls you and places you in His church. Its not up to you to leave it and satisfy your fleshly nature. Way too many have hindered the work of God by faithlessness.

Find your assigned company and faithfully commit to it. There is where you will truly come into what God has for you. There is where you will prosper and be in good health. That is your place of safety and refreshing.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25 KJV

When you and I give God charge of our lives, He takes care of everything. He leads and guides us by His Spirit, counsels us, teaches us, imparts supernatural power to us, and watches over us. There is nothing He will not provide when we need it; wisdom, knowledge and strength are ours for the asking.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Timothy 1:12

He said He will never leave us. He is personal and up close. In fact, He dwells within every believer.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

Have a blessed day knowing that God is, indeed, taking care of all the details necessary for you to fulfill your high calling in Christ Jesus.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV

There is a supernatural inner peace available in Christ Jesus that passes all human understanding. This peace is available in any and every situation.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.  Psalms 46:1‭-‬3 KJV

Dear Believer, your God is with you and will lead and  keep you in all your ways.

And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.  Isaiah 30:18 KJV

God’s timing is perfect. Rest with confidence as you wait upon Him.

Just like we had to wait for the right season for our beautiful Canalily to bloom, so must we learn to wait on God for our season to bloom.

He knows when we are ready and able to receive the next blessing from His hand. Ours is to stay in faith believing, knowing that what He has promised He will do.

Just delight in the Lord and rest in the knowledge that He will perfect and perform all that pertains to you.
