Do It!

And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. 2 Kings 13:18 KJV

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. What we’re commissioned by God to do is worth doing.

What God tells us to do, we should do with all of our heart.

Had Joash fullfilled what Elisha spoke to him he would have had complete victory over his enemies but his half-hearted response only gave him a partial and temporary victory.

And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice. 2 Kings 13:19 KJV

Whatsoever He says to you do it with all your heart and strength.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8 KJV

Pray before you start your day and it will go better in every way.

There is nothing more powerful than a man on his knees with his hands raised in surrender to God; praying in faith knowing God hears and heeds.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22 KJV

Prayer acknowleges that God is God and that we know that we need Him.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 KJV

This is one of God’s great promises to the beleiver.

When you place your confidence in God’s goodness and love, you will find peace even in the midst of the storms of life.

Everyone faces difficulties in life. To live is to experience both wonderful and harrowing times and seasons. Those challenges will either break you or make you.

Confucius said, There are two ways to catch a knife when it is thrown at you; by the blade or by the handle. Being in covenant with, and trusting, God allows you to catch the knives of life by the handle.

God will bring you through every trial in unsurpassing victory. Trust in the Lord.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit.  Jude 1:20 MEV

Praying in the Holy Spirit is critical for every believer. It is God’s way of empowering His own with supernatural ability and strength.

He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 1 Corinthians 14:4 MEV
Smith Wigglesworth said, “Oh, this baptism of the Holy Spirit is an inward presence of the personality of God, which lifts, prays, takes hold, lives in, with a tranquility of peace and power that rests and says, ‘It is all right.’ God answers prayer because the Holy Spirit prays and your advocate is Jesus, and the Father the Judge of all. There He is. Is it possible for any prayer to be missed on those lines?”
Beloved, don’t let another day go by without praying in tongues. It’s the language of the Spirit.

No Fear

I sought the Lord , and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4 MEV

The Lord is an ever present help in time of trouble. He is Love and drives out all fear. Nothing can harm those who trust in Him.
I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that pursues in darkness, nor of the destruction that strikes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Because you have made the Lord , who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling, there shall be no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your tent; for He shall give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways.  Psalms 91:2‭, ‬5‭-‬7‭, ‬9‭-‬11 MEV

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV

The abilities that each of us have is absolutely amazing. By virtue of being created in the image and likeness of God, we are extremely capable.

Herein lies the danger to our soul. We can easily begin to feel self sufficient when, in fact, we will never reach our full potential without total dependency on God in Christ.

We are weak but He is strong. Our real strength is in Him. Without Him we will never accomplish anything of lasting value.

Let go and let God do what He wants to do with you.

You can do anything through Christ which strengthens you.

Faith Cometh

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV

Supernatural faith, saving, believing faith, comes, not once but is activated every time the Word of God is preached by called, sent, anointed preachers.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:14‭-‬15 KJV

All this being so, don’t you think it would be wise to show up in church more than once a week so that faith can continually come to you and be activated in you?

Activated faith is seen by faith filled action that energizes and empowers others too.
