Seeking the Lost

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10 KJV

We are not saved so that we can have a better life while living like we did. We are a new creation with a new purpose. It is now our call and duty to serve Jesus and carry out the great commission. We are to win the lost no matter the cost.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:19 KJV

We are no longer our own we were bought with a price. We are the servants of the Lord.

And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Luke 14:23 KJV

Laborers Needed

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
Matthew 22:9 KJV

All people desperately need Jesus. The problem is that many do not know it. They have never heard the good news.

Time is short. Every believer needs to witness, testify, and share the good news of the Gospel to as many people as possible before it is too late.

And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.   He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:15‭-‬16 KJV

Not only must each of us go, but we must pray for others to go.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;   Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37‭-‬38 KJV

Light of Life

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
Acts 13:47 KJV

If you’re driving at night, when there is no moon, you had better have working head lights. Otherwise you’ll not be able to see where you’re going. You may run into something and hurt yourself or someone else.

Going through life without Jesus is like driving in the dark. Jesus is the light of the world.

If you are already a Christian then you are now the light of the world. It is now your job to illuminate the path of the lost so that they can find their way home into the arms of God.

But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)? ROMANS 10:14 AMP

Be a messenger. Tell everyone you can about the good news. Jesus saves, heals and delivers.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalms 126:5‭-‬6 KJV

Tears shed in prayer for the lost are precious to God. He will answer by giving you the harvest when you go forth to reap.

Ther is nothing more precious to God than a human soul redeemed by the blood of Jesus His Son. All who reach out to the lost hold a special place in His heart.

If you’re saved, be a witness. Share the love, peace and joy you have received with all you can.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Isaiah 61:1 MEV

The born-again Spirit-filled Christian not only has Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing within him but when baptized in the Holy Ghost this powerful anointing is released.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 MEV
The Spirit-filled believer will be able to demonstrate resurrection power.

These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  Mark 16:17‭-‬18 MEV

Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2 Corinthians 3:17 MEV

Now also when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I have proclaimed Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone who is to come. Psalms 71:18 MEV

We must share what we’ve seen and impart what we have to those who have come after us lest they be led astray and vulnerable to the destroyer.
Christianity is only one generation away from extinction. Sadly, a true Christian witness is not being heard by those who most need it. The result is that we have believers who are being drawn away to destruction.

The Elders must reach the next generations before it is too late.

Consider the findings of the Barna Group, in association with Summit Ministries:

“Unsurprisingly, the study shows that Millennials and Gen-Xers are in some cases eight times more likely to accept unbiblical worldviews, and that males are more susceptible than females at a 2:1 ratio. Here are seven of the most shocking false beliefs that many Christians hold:

  • 61% of practicing Christians agree with anti-biblical ideas rooted in New Spirituality.
  • 38% of practicing Christians are sympathetic to some Muslim teachings.
  • 28% of practicing Christians strongly agree with the illogical false idea that “all people pray to the same god or spirit.”
  • 23% of practicing Christians strongly agree with the idea that “what is morally right or wrong depends on what an individual believes.”
  • 20% of Christians falsely believe that “meaning and purpose comes from working hard” and earning as much as possible.
  • 14% of practicing Christians strongly agree with the unbiblical notion that “the government, rather than individuals, should control as much of the resources as necessary to ensure that everyone gets their fair share.”
  • 11% of practicing Christians buy into the false Marxist idea that “private property encourages greed and envy.”

We live in a world of competing ideas and worldviews. In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, Christians are more aware of (and influenced by) disparate views than ever. But just how much have other worldviews crept into Christians’ perspectives? Barna’s research shows that only 17 percent of Christians who consider their faith important and attend church regularly actually have a biblical worldview”

There is a need for the Elders to embrace the young and declare the whole counsel of God with signs following.

Pray for open doors.

Go! Proclaim! Testify!

He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. But he who does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 16:15‭-‬16 MEV

The Great Commission still stands. We are to Go! Proclaim! and Testify! by every means possible.

We’re living in a time of great spiritual darkness that is enveloping whole nations. The spirit of anti-Christ is working overtime through the religions of secular humanism and Islam. The anti-Christ cults birthed in the mid-1800’s in America pale in their potential destructiveness.

If our nation and the rest of the world are to maintain a civilized societal structure Christians must become boldly outspoken in this hostile environment.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring good news of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  Romans 10:14‭-‬17 MEV

It’s time to respond to the call.
